Magic and Charisma
Can you believe its Friday again? Nope - me neither! Time flies.
I have also been quite busy and havn’t been dowsing for a while nor made any videos. Last weekend, I thought there were going to be storms so tried to make a van life video of camping out in the storms… no storms, not a drop of rain to speak of and so a very short video…
Today, I hope to interview Tim Walter for an episode of my magical world podcast and get that out. He wrote a lovely book called What Now? that we will chat about - a book on dowsing but in the broader context of magic and reality. It’s a modern day grimoire really… a book about magic.
Tim, like the late Rory Duff, had the same mentor in the form of the late Hamish Miller. Rory’s opus is really his Holy Grail book which I read in awe last year. Now Rory and Tim are quite different people in many respects - different personalities, backgrounds and thought processes. Yet, what I find amazing is the similarity in message in their books!
Yes - they express things differently, use different examples and draw upon different experiences but overall, they are saying the same thing. In fact, read any genuine book on magic and that is the case. Perhaps my own half-hearted attempts also echo similar concepts and ideas?
For me, this means I have a question. How is that many people with vastly different backgrounds and outlooks end up essentially in the same place? And, is this evidence that the human experience of magic is real and worthy of study? Of course, I think in the affirmative.
What are they really saying at the end of the day? Well, essentially that we create our own realities based on how we think, imagine and act. That there are subtle realms - liminal realms - in reality that can be accessed using various techniques that once found, help lead us to a variety of conclusions about the human experience. Very profound conclusions. In a nutshell, that is it.
I think Thomas Sheridan points to an added layer or impact of this pursuit of the magical realms and of ones own true self. He calls it charisma. I am fascinated by this as I believe him to be correct. In becoming the person you really are, in understanding the magical nature of reality, you do develop something that others can detect. Charisma is a good word for it. Just a day or so ago, he posted this…
Charisma is the most credible indication of someone possessing magical abilities, as it demonstrates a central nervous system charged by consciousness that has expanded outward to a greater degree than someone who has not practised magic successfully.
The ‘grace of the gods’ is real in that it attracts similar personality attributes within other people who can detect the charismatic charge, and repels the profane who are threatened by it.
Rory had charisma. Tim has Charisma. You can see that these very different people have touched something key to the reality - actuality - behind life - that magic that unlocks the humanity of a person and shines through to the outside world.
How many people do you know who have that sort of charisma?
This is the opposite of the half machine - half human nightmare world postulated and sought after by the so-called elite.
This is the real choice each and every human faces - which pill will you take?

You and Thomas and then Tina K and Fiona Aedgar also have charisma, from what I've seen and heard from you all. There are a very few people I personally know who have it....Just a couple of friends and a family member.
I gather ofcourse the real authentic charisma is meant as a positive attribute and yet...t's something which you can train, cunningly, an air, a way of acting, speaking, laughing, walking, being but then for manipulative purposes, charisma alone does not cut it. I get the grounded charisma thought which can be authentically the being in front of you but it is still a veil, an act of sorts...it is just one aspect of being, we are resonance fields, miracles as a whole, children of God, call it an issue of symantics which I'm now nitpicking about however t'was just what came to mind upon pondering the written peace as food for thought, I wish you a lovely afternoon, Grüß Gott!
