Back to Brno

Just arrived back in Brno courtesy of Ryanair…. hate that airline but they are reliable and have some nice staff on the planes… Delightful Spanish lady could not do enough to help me on the trip back and made it a nice flight all in all….

I managed to find fish and chips but it was average at best - cant beat a good northern chippie I’m afraid. I also managed a meat pie at the airport and that was OK. It’s that sort of food I miss as much as anything… the grub I was raised on.

How was London - Expensive!!! I couldn’t believe the prices….I will say though I am a bit of a scrooge so perhaps its just me but 20 quid for fish and chips…. wow.

I attended a meeting of the Committee for Chief Risk Officers and was a prime mover in a discussion around geopolitical risk. After I had finished you could hear a pin drop! Then one other person simply said - Gary’s right and that got everyone discussing and a great discussion it was. Dinner was hosted by one of our clients and it was amazing…. I had a little too much red wine in the end but I did drink plenty of water so I wasn’t too bad in the morning.

All-in-all not a bad little trip.

But now I am back - I have to restart the diet. I put all the weight back on - as you do - and now I need to go back to that lifestyle I was telling you all about earlier…. (Ooops!). Beach time is coming and I do not want to waddle around like a whale on it….
